The award recognizes the dedication and the technological, scientific and economic efforts undertaken to create selection systems that are more advanced and perform better in recovering metal from car fluff, thus reducing the quantity of scrap that ends up in a waste management site, in an outstanding strategy of industrial ecology implemented by this company.
These results have been achieved by a valuable team of technicians within the structure of Gruppo Fiori, the outcome of the collaboration with the University of Bologna (Industrial Chemistry Department) and the University La Sapienza in Rome (Engineering Department), from which many of them have graduated.
Looking towards the future, the dedication of Gruppo Fiori will focus, besides improving what has already been done, on the optimization of the recuperation processes such as that of plastics and the creation of solid fuels.
