Gruppo Fiori and Cisambiente: A Partnership for the Future of Metal Recycling

The Role of Confindustria Cisambiente

Founded in 2016 at Confindustria’s historic headquarters in Rome, Cisambiente represents the industrial sector of Environment, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, and Remediation.

Today, it brings together approximately 1,500 member companies throughout Italy, covering the entire energy security and circular economy supply chain: from waste collection to recovery processes, all the way to the creation of new raw materials to be reintroduced into the production cycle. Among the strategic areas in which the association is investing most vigorously are land remediation and the management of rare and strategic materials for industrial production.

Network Value and Knowledge Sharing

In this context, Gruppo Fiori complements the association’s network by bringing over 75 years of experience in the recovery and processing of scrap metal, its well-established operational platforms, and deep industrial expertise.

The collaboration is based on a direct exchange of expertise, aimed at building networks and addressing the challenges of the ecological transition in a coordinated manner. By contributing its expertise to national working groups, the Group helps promote innovative business models, competitive technologies, and clear regulatory frameworks that transform waste from a burden into a strategic economic resource for the entire sector.

This collaborative effort immediately involves operational participation in the association’s governance as well: Mauro Grotto (Italmetalli) has, in fact, assumed the role of General Council Member of Confindustria Cisambiente and the position of President of the “Crushers” Division.
